LONESOME SHACK in de Bosbar!
Zanger/gitarist Ben Todd leefde jaren in een 'lonesome shack' in de woestijn van New Mexico. Verhuisde uiteindelijk toch naar Seattle om er zijn band op te richten en woont tegenwoordig in Londen. De desolate woestijn + het contrast met het stadsleven vormde de inspiratie voor de nieuwe plaat 'Desert Dreams (2019).

"With a sound that is raw, expressive, and strange, Lonesome Shack’s music is part hill country blues, part urban folk rock, and owes as much to Canned Heat as it does to Junior Kimbrough.
Formed in Seattle, and currently based in London, the trio is led by Ben Todd, a finger picking guitarist who has spent time living in a - yep! - lonesome shack in the New Mexico desert. Alone in the wilderness, Ben learned how to play old blues and banjo tunes from vintage and traditional recordings.
