SAPPHIRE SLOWS + MILLION BRAZILIANS

SAPPHIRE SLOWS (jp)
"Tokyo netscape nightingale Sapphire Slows is a solo female producer and performer who is known for her own style variously inspired like by dark minimal, experimental electronic, ghostly ambient, smoky dub, and some 80′s weird pop sounds. She started producing and recording music in her bedroom in Spring 2011 mainly with vintage Casio keys and ableton, then this new young Tokyo gem-gleaner is discovered by LA-based underground label Not Not Fun & Tokyo-based Big Love. Her first proper full-length album 'Allegoria' released in 2013 is chosen as best albums of the year by Crack Magazine (UK), Mike Paradinas (Planet Mu/UK), Japan Times (JP), and so on."
"She started her solo project in Tokyo, spring 2011. Tracks are all recorded in her bedroom."

MILLION BRAZILIANS (us)
"hail from Portland, Oregon.  Forming in 2006, founding members Grant Corum (woodwind, electronics, voice) and Suzanne Stone(saxophone and vocals) have been central to the band since the beginning, while a rotating line-up backs them depending on the latest vision for the sound.  In their early career, the band carried out their own interpretation of their genre bending ethos throughout the evolving American underground, “Exotica avant-garde mystical music that is impossible to classify’ by Mississippi Record’s co-founder, Eric Issacson.

The band experienced success and critical acclaim with the releases of Wet Dry Jungala and Poderoso Monicato albums, and have been praised as being 'completely enigmatic' throughout time using a wide variety of traditional & homemade instruments and electronics during 'ritualistic performances.'

For over a decade, Million Brazilians have continued to exemplify their imagination into new sound works that 'drift between boundless compositions, focused energetic improvisations and experimental collaboration that embrace a weird sort of transcendence.' ” - Lullabies for Insomniacs
